Jochen Alt, new CTO of Greyparrot

 

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Jochen Alt as Chief Technology Officer of Greyparrot.

As an award winning technical leader, Jochen has a track record of successfully implementing large- scale projects of up to £30m in T-Systems, Royal Mail, Deutsche Bank and DB Systems. He has led and scaled technical teams of 4 – 140 engineers. In his previous role as CTO of Royal Mail, Jochen led the transformation of a classic IT department into an agile team solving complex optimization problems involving IoT and data analytics. His efforts culminated in the reduction of £20m yearly operational costs.

As CTO in GLS IT Services, he renovated the IT landscape and incubated a startup to introduce continuous innovation. At Deutsche Bank, he architected a system to reduce idle times of rolling stock and received two OMG Architecture Awards.

Jochen will be responsible for driving Greyparrot’s large scale development of computer vision based waste analytics products to increase recycling rates and help transition us to a more circular economy.

Jochen joins a rapidly expanding team with Greyparrot making recent strategic hires of Deep Learning engineers and software engineers from HuaWei, Any Vision, Ocado, Cisco and Microsoft.
